The State traffic inspectorate of the city of Zhodino has strengthened control over the implementation by drivers of vehicles of the rules of stopping and parking

The period of the end of the summer holidays and most vacations is traditionally characterized by an increase in the intensity of pedestrian and vehicle traffic. An important circumstance that negatively affects road safety is the fact that during vacations and holidays, vulnerable road users forget the rules of safe behavior on the road in conditions of high traffic intensity. One of the dangerous situations can be the exit of pedestrians, in particular children, because of vehicles parked in violation of the rules of stopping and parking.
In order to prevent accidents due to violations of the rules for stopping, parking, the traffic police department of the Zhodino GOVD has strengthened control over the performance of stops and parking by drivers of vehicles.
Road guards will pay special attention to the observance by drivers of the rules for stopping and parking near pedestrian crossings, the requirements of the road signs “Stop is prohibited”, “Parking is prohibited”, the suppression of the facts of the parking of trucks with a technically permissible total mass of more than 3.5 tons in residential areas, and also outside specially designated places marked with road signs “Parking place” (“Resting place”).
The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds:
in accordance with Part 1 of Article 18.18 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus, for violation of the rules for stopping or parking vehicles, liability is provided in the form of a fine in the amount of 1 base unit;
in accordance with Part 2 of Article 18.18 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus, for illegal parking of vehicles in a place designated for parking vehicles of disabled people, liability is provided in the form of a fine in the amount of 2 basic units;
in accordance with Part 3 of Article 18.18 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus, for violation of the rules for stopping or parking a truck, bus, wheeled tractor, self-propelled vehicle, trailer, liability is provided in the form of a fine in the amount of 5 basic units;
in accordance with Part 4 of Article 18.18 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus for violation of the rules for stopping or parking a truck, bus, wheeled tractor, self-propelled vehicle, trailer, repeatedly within one year after the imposition of an administrative penalty for the same violations, liability is provided in the form of a fine in in the amount of 10 base units.
