Forum of youth activists of the Minsk region starts on August 24
On August 24, the forum of the youth trade union activist “Youth Olympus of the Minsk Region” starts in the Minsk region, dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation and the 85th anniversary of the formation of the Minsk region.
The event will be attended by 120 representatives of branch trade unions from all districts of the region. All four days they will have a rich and varied program. The business part provides for visiting and familiarizing with the work of such enterprises as the Zhodino CHPP branch of RUE Minskenergo, SZAO Belji, the branch Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training of the Civil Protection University of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Meetings with heads of organizations and trade union leaders are planned.
The educational block includes training sessions and a dialogue platform. Andrey Savinykh, Chairman of the Standing Committee on International Affairs of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, will act as speakers in front of the youth trade union activists; Analyst of the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Irina Rusak. There will also be a meeting with ONT TV channel political analyst Igor Tur.
During the cultural part of the program, the participants will visit the memorial complex “Khatyn”, the sports and cultural festival “Vytoki. Krok da Alimpu.
As the chairman of the Minsk Regional Association of Trade Unions Viktor Malinovsky noted, the forum is aimed at forming a youth trade union activist capable of uniting the efforts of representatives of trade unions and social partners to implement socially useful initiatives that contribute to the development of the potential of representatives of trade unions, labor collectives and the economy of the Minsk region as a whole. Among its goals are the preservation of historical memory, the development and popularization of vocational training and the strengthening of social partnership in the Minsk region.
