Grain and leguminous crops in Belarus harvested on 9.5% of the area

In Belarus, grain and leguminous crops have been harvested on almost 9.5% of the area, BelTA learned from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

As of July 21, grain and leguminous crops (without corn, buckwheat, millet) harvested 187.4 thousand hectares. 651.5 thousand tons of grain were harvested with an average yield of 34.8 centners per hectare.

Winter barley was harvested on 145.3 thousand hectares (94.9% of the harvested area), 505.8 thousand tons were harvested with an average yield of 34.8 c/ha. Winter rapeseed for grain was harvested on 95.9 thousand hectares (28.8% of the harvested area), 210 thousand tons were harvested with an average yield of 21.9 centners per hectare.

Flax has been hauled out on 9.99 thousand hectares, which is 22.9% of the harvested area. Harvested 358.3 thousand tons of hay – 37.2% of the plan, 8041.5 thousand tons of haylage – 58.7% (including 263.7 thousand tons in polymer packaging), 357.8 thousand tons of grain haylage and 198.2 thousand tons of silage – 1.03%.

In total, this year it is planned to obtain 9.6 million tons of fodder units from grasses. By this time, 26.9% of the plan has been prepared. It is planned to harvest almost 19.2 million tons of silage, 13.7 million tons of haylage (including 1 million tons in polymer packaging), and 962.1 thousand tons of hay.
