The Minsk region and Tatarstan outlined prospects for joint projects in the agricultural sector
A working meeting with a delegation from the Minsk Region was held at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan, the Minsk Regional Executive Committee told BELTA.
Regional Executive Committee Chairman Alexei Kushnarenko noted that Tatarstan is among the regions with intensive agriculture and holds a leading position in Russia. The Minsk Region is also a leader in Belarus, producing more than a quarter of the country’s total crop and livestock output.
By the end of 2025, trade turnover in the agricultural sector between the two countries showed comparable volumes: $48.8 million worth of products were imported from Belarus to Tatarstan, while exports from Tatarstan amounted to $50.2 million.
The parties also discussed prospects for further cooperation, expanding exports, and possible joint projects in crop production, livestock farming, and agricultural mechanization.
